UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE AND BEDDING REGISTRATIONS
Step 1: Create an account with Law Label Services
| This is simply a user ID, password and your email address. You only need to do this once. |
Step 2: Login and download the Company Agreement and have it signed by a company officer, then Email it to Law Label Services
The Company Agreement ONLY gives Law Label Services the ability to sign the applications and receive communications (email, certificates, etc.) on your behalf. It does NOT give any other rights to Law Label Services!
This is required for our registration services.
After signing it (with witnesses), email or fax it back to Law Label Services at (001) 614.543.8348
You only need to do this once. |
Step 3: IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A URN Certificate, send it to Law Label Services
| Email or fax a copy of your current, valid, URN Certificate. |
Step 4: LOGIN and create a Company Information document
This document will contain all of the company’s information like address, contact names, phone numbers and copies of state registration certificates.
This may take a few minutes to fill out, but it is needed to automate the registration process. This information will be used to populate the data on the state registration forms automatically.
You only NEED to do this once, but can update it in the future. |
Step 5: You are now ready to register with the states
Click on the Actions >> Submit New Request link to begin.
If you do not have a URN, we will apply for one for you automatically. It will be used for all your future registrations.
Select all of the states you need to register in and any extra services you may need, then submit the request.
Now the invoice will be displayed. Click on the big, red link that says "Click here to submit Payment Type".
Enter your payment information and submit. We can accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express or a wire transfer.
We will now begin the registration process. We will choose the best state to get the registration number (URN) from and submit the application. Please note that importers never get a URN. This is only for the factory. |
Step 6: Sample testing for Ohio - (Optional: only if registering in OH)
The state of Ohio requires a sample be tested before they will issue the certificate.

This is only required for Ohio registrations and you only need to do this once. |
Step 7: Complete California Application - (Optional: only if registering in CA)
After you have submitted your registration request, we will email you the CA application to sign.
Please have it signed by a company officer and email it back to us at info@lawlabel.com
This is only required for California registrations. |
Step 8: Complete North Carolina Application - (Optional: only if registering in NC)
After you have submitted your registration request, we will email you the NC application to sign.
Please have it signed by a company officer and email it back to us at info@lawlabel.com
This is only required for North Carolina registrations. |
Step 9: Complete Pennsylvania Application
After you have submitted your registration request, we will email you the PA application to sign.
Please have it signed by a company officer and email it back to us at info@lawlabel.com
This is only required for Pennsylvania registrations. |
Step 10: You are complete!
In about 2-4 weeks, you will registered to sell stuffing goods in those states!
All the certificates will be sent to us, scanned and uploaded to the website where you can download them. |

STUFFED TOY REGISTRATIONS

Step 5: You are now ready to register with the states

Stuffed Toy registrations are for MA, OH and PA only. The registration number (URN) must be obtained in PA first.
Select all of the states you need to register in and any extra services you may need, then submit the request.
Now the invoice will be displayed. Click on the big, red link that says "Click here to submit Payment Type".

We will now begin the registration process. |
Step 6: Submitting the application
We will email the PA application to you.
Please have the factory fill in and sign the areas marked with arrows.
DO NOT ALTER THE APPLICATION IN ANY WAY!
Page 1 should be signed by a factory officer or owner.
Page 2 is required to be signed by the person who is gathering the toy sample to be shipped to the PA office. This can be a normal worker.
Page 2 must be notarized if a notary is available in your country.
Both pages of the document must be stamped/chopped, if available.
Please also send a sample of the stuffed toy to the PA office for evaluation.
The sample toy must be the same type/style toy that is tested at a lab (See below).
If the toy being tested is a frog, then the toy being sent to PA must be a frog. It does NOT need to be the EXACT same frog tested by the lab, but must be the same model/type of toy (Frog).
The toy sample should not have ANY labels on it. If you have labels on the toy sample, be sure to COMPLETELY remove them.
Do not cut off the labels and leave a "stub" attached to the toy. This is not allowed.
Lastly, PA requires a lab test be done on the toy. You can see the lab test details here:

You will also need a lab test for OH registrations (if you are needing an OH registration). You can see those details here:

OH only allows certain labs to process the testing, so it will be best to use one of those labs for both OH and PA testing. This should have save time and money.
Once you have the application filled in and signed, the toy sample ready and the lab test completed, you will need to send all of those things to the PA office in one package. Do not send any of these items separately.
Also, email us a good picture of the toy sample being sent, copies of the application and lab test report, and include the tracking number of the package being sent to the PA office.
The toy sample and application must be sent directly from the factory. It can not be sent by a 3rd party. The package must originate from the factory. |
Step 7: Complete OH and MA
Once we receive the completed PA certificate, we will submit the applications for OH and MA.
OH will require completion of the OH lab report before we can submit the applicaiton. |
Step 8: You are Complete!
| When we receive the MA and OH certificates, we will upload them to the website where you can download them. |
